How do you decide if pack walks are a good fit for my dog?

Most friendly, socialized dogs do really well in a pack environment and enjoy the routine, movement, and social aspect of group walks. We focus on small pack sizes and calm group dynamics. If a dog isn’t thriving in a pack setting, we’ll always communicate honestly and discuss alternative options.

What are your pack sizes?

Our pack walks typically include 4–6 dogs. On occasion, packs may be slightly larger to maintain consistency and avoid cancellations. Regardless of size, safety and supervision are always our top priorities.

What if my dog has a lot of energy or a strong personality?

We work with a wide range of dogs and energy levels. Clear expectations, routine, and consistency go a long way, and most dogs settle in quickly. If we ever feel a dog needs something different, we’ll communicate that clearly.

What happens if my dog isn’t a good fit for pack walks?

Not every service is right for every dog, and that’s okay. If pack walks aren’t the best fit, we’ll let you know and help guide you toward an option that better suits your dog’s needs.

How do you handle safety during off-leash walks?

Safety starts with smaller pack sizes, experienced walkers, and consistent routines. We choose environments carefully and monitor group dynamics closely to ensure calm, controlled walks. We also adjust walks based on weather conditions, including shortening outings, modifying routes, or changing activities during extreme heat or cold to keep dogs safe and comfortable at all times.

How do you communicate with owners?

Clear communication is important to us. We use Time To Pet, a secure pet care software that allows clients to easily book services, update their dog’s information, and communicate with us in one place. This helps keep everything organized and ensures owners are kept informed, especially if there are any updates, questions, or concerns related to their dog’s care.

How is pack walk pricing structured?

Pack walk pricing is based on weekly packages, determined by how many walks each dog attends within that week. Each dog is booked individually and occupies their own spot in the pack.

Dogs who attend more frequently tend to settle into the routine more easily and get the most out of pack walks, which is reflected in the weekly package structure.

Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs from the same household?

Pack walk pricing is per dog, as each dog occupies their own place in the pack and receives individual handling and supervision during the walk. Pickup and drop-off are included in the price and are not used to determine rates.

What if my schedule changes week to week?

That’s no problem, pricing simply reflects how many walks are booked for each dog in a given week. There’s no averaging or long-term commitment required.

How do holidays affect pricing?

If Dogs on Board closes for a holiday, clients on consistent weekly schedules will continue at their usual rate. Pricing only adjusts when a schedule change is client-initiated, such as travel or cancellations.
